As a non-expert in this field, I feel we have introduced more “stochasticity”. Before, We had to deal with some human error/ misunderstanding for most part but now we have to deal with power of condensed human expertise along with homogenized flaws.

It is not very big and was difficult for me to follow as I cannot read French. Even with those language barriers on my end, it was fun way to see how photographic media evolved.

I'm not a fan of mechanical keyboards so I was going to post a link to my favorite keyboard (Lenovo ThinkPad TrackPoint Keyboard II) and just found out it's discontinued. I'm so bummed out because it's such a great keyboard and the two I use are getting old.

It's hard to believe it wasn't a good seller for them because it was frequently out of stock and when it came back in stock you had to be quick to get one.

Oh no! That keyboard was incredible. Very compact, built in TrackPoint (tm) pointing stick, and option to use USB dongle or Bluetooth. It was the perfect KVM / server rack keyboard, and uniquely great as a VR headset keyboard. I remember it was frequently out of stock and would sell out very quickly. Cannot understand why they would discontinue this keyboard.

While it is good to have plotnine for python but ggplot2 in R has this whole ecosystem of packages/extensions that augment the ggplot2 such as ggalluvial, ggrepel. More at this link https://exts.ggplot2.tidyverse.org/gallery/ This would make it really compelling to tip my toes in the Python world. Regardless, I am liking this "ggplotification" of python. All we need is more "tidification" of Python data frame world.

I find Swiss system to be very convenient. My recent visit to the country was smooth thanks to the SBB app. It works not just for rail but also for bus, trams, and ferry. I think even some cable cars are covered. Plus there it can provide discounts or free visits to selected museums.

One of my favorite product, it just works in the background. I do not need any more features than what it has currently. None of the competitors have this ability to just blend in the background. I hope they stay for a long time.

The one useful feature it still lacks is E2EE for non-team accounts. Though you can emulate that with third-party tools.

Nicely written and I thought D3.js was very verbose and time consuming. Makes me appreciate all the computational tooling we have today.

I wonder how Mojo ranks along with Julia. Mojo was discussed yesterday here. Mojo seems to be more python focused while Julia is very much focused on Scientific computation. I may be wrong.

@onethumb Is it possible that Flickr will be integrated into SmugMug eventually or it will remain as its own branch? I know it is difficult to say for sure but some direction for near future?
