I'm not a 90s engineer and that is crazy. The amount of inefficiency that people tolerate from JS and other web stuff is completely unreasonable in my view. It's also why software today is much worse than it was 20-30 years ago.

A bit of topic. But noaways even when having no time at all you can instruct your AI to setup DNS adguard at home and get rid of all (most) ads on any site or app. It took me literaly 10 minutes to set it up.

Sorry to say that this probably has no valuable moat. And that is becoming an increasingly bigger issue for many companies. There is no longer the need for many services and products. There is some serious demand for expertise in the field of AI automation. But it requires experts with domain knowledge. Almost no companies have this. The end is near for those.

The human code monkey sometimes thinks too highly of the task of coding. That's never once been the job to be done.

Every engineer is going to become a master of understanding and measuring need, opportunity cost, organizational support and headwinds, political will, etc. These are the true features of the job. The coding part will fall away entirely.

Deliver value. Code used to be the expensive part, but now it's becoming cheap, fungible, and ephemeral.

This all assumes LLMs can maintain a steady state of code while extending it.

I am sure every input send to openai is prechecked by a dumb model and then send to another one. They heavily tweak this to improve performance.
